Strategic Plan Priorities

A message from Lorrie Davis, CAC Chairperson

Sherry Whitmarsh, the MDUSD BOE President is requesting our input on the District's Draft Strategic Plan.  At the October 2, 2012 CAC meeting, Sherry will have the Strategic Initiatives posted on the wall and parents, staff, community members, etc. are welcome to choose which initiatives they think should be the priorities.  Each person will be given 15 dots to place next to the strategies they choose as priority.  You can put all 15 dots next to one strategy, 3 dots on 5 different strategies - any combination you desire.  The sheets will be available shortly before the meeting begins and left up until the CAC meeting is over so there will be lots of time to place your dots. 

Attached is a copy of the Draft Strategic Plan for your review prior to the meeting.  I have also included the notes from our CAC Input Meeting held back on May 17, 2011.

I appreciate Sherry allowing us to give our input during the evening of our CAC meeting.  Thank you in advance for providing your input.

MDUSD CAC to host Board of Education Candidates' Question and Answer Panel

The MDUSD CAC  will be hosting a Board of Education Candidate Question and Answer Panel.  Barbara Oaks, Brian Lawrence, Debra Mason, Ernie De Trinidad and Sherry Whitmarsh will be asked questions that are important to special education. These questions will be selected in advanced, but the candidates will hear them for the first time that evening.  Each candidate will be asked the same question and have 90 seconds to complete their response.

MDUSD Board Members, Sherry Whitmarsh and Cheryl Hansen, have developed a "draft" strategic plan and are scheduling community input sessions to gather input from parents, staff and community.
