Autism Cares to award 800 iPads to children with autism - deadline to apply is Friday, November 8, 2013

The Ipad has opened learning for children with Autism, both verbal and non-verbal. The cost for many low-income families can be a barrier for many children with Autism.

AutismCares has announced they are now accepting applications for the 2013 iPad2 grant. The application deadline is Friday, November 8.

The grants can be applied for online at the AutismCares website. The iPad2 will be awarded to financially disadvantaged individuals with autism who are unable to afford and iPad. Applicants must have an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis and live in the United States.

The iPad2 that is awarded to 800 schools and individual applicants will also come with a Kraken A.M.S. case, by Trident Case.

The grant is made possible because of the generosity of Sevenly, Wyndham Worldwide, the Geier Foundation, the James Walter Pickle Charitable Foundation, the Agarwal Foundation and Johnathan Izak according to Autism Speaks.

AutismCares is made possible by individual donations and its partners. It is a consortium of leading autism organizations who have come together to support individuals with autism and their families. The 2013 partners are Autism Speaks, Lisa Higgins Foundation, Doug Flutie Foundation and Talk About Curing Autism.

You must act fast, as the deadline is this Friday. You will be required to create a log-in and then select Autism Speaks 2013 iPad grant. The applicants awarded an iPad will be contacted in December.
