Social Skills Summer Camp
Having Extreme Fun While you Learn
Summer Camp with a Developmental Purpose
Week 1: July 5 You and Me: Getting to Know Someone Activities
include: creating a group mural, with emphasis and similarity and
differences. Show and Tell, getting to know ME. Clay creation,
creating your favorite... and talking about it. And so many more
activities and games that explore the similarities and interests of the
group members.
Week 2: July 12 Cooperation and Competition Groups learn the art of
collaboration and sportsmanship as they play for the gold! Sports,
obstacle courses, relays, a group created game and more teach children
to work together and encourage each other to do their personal best.
Week 3: July 19 Oh What Drama, Express Yourself! It's a fun week
full of creativity and emotional drama. Groups will work together on
costumes, casting and rehearsing emotional lines. Groups will take
turns as actors and audience. Lights, Camera, Action!
Week 4: July 26 Caring and Sharing: Respect and Kindness From the
earth to the people we share time with, care and respect is so
important. We will explore and learn about nature, clean up the
environment, plant and care for a garden. Groups will work together
making yummy healthy snacks and share at the Friday party picnic.
Week 5: August 2 Treasure Hunt: Problem Solving Work together as a
group to find clues of the lost treasure chest. There are maps to
activities that lead to clues that lead to the lost treasure chest. The
content of the chest is a super fun surprise for all!
Week 6: August 9 Cooperation and Competition Groups learn the art

Daily Activities: Social skills lessons, activities and support,
creative art, play and games, outdoor activities and sports, small and
large group fun team projects. Playing, working together, getting along
and having fun!
Program Tuition: $ 245 per week (All existing and past SKILL BUILDERS
students receive a 15% discount)
Camp Schedule and Hours: July 5, through August 20, 2010, Monday
through Friday, Program Hours: 9:30 to 1:30 (Extended care available
9:00 to 4:00 at $8 per family)
Ages and Ratio: 6 years and up (toileting skills required) Children
are supported in a 3 to 1, child to staff ratio.
Registration: Email, fax or mail a completed registration form to
reserve a space. Consultation required for all new students. Tuition is
due on or before the first day of camp. **Registration deadline June
10, 2010**
