Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Summer Camps

Give your kids a jump start on summer with camps and trips from the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District! LARPD’s summer camps will keep kids busy, entertained and active once school is out!

Middle school/Teen programs:


Jr. Adventure Camp (5th to 8th grades) is back for a fourth summer of fun adventures. Hang out in the Elbow Room, play games and take field trips. $135.
Teen Summer Trips (6th to 12th grades) include a Paintball Trip ($65/$45 with own equipment) on Aug. 3 and a trip to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk (45) on Aug. 5.
Teen Activities for the Developmentally Disabled (TADD) will feature Super Franks ($20) on June 26, Swim Night ($10) on July 15, Game Night ($10) on July 24, Dessert & Movie Night ($15) on Aug. 6 and Pizza & Bowling ($15) on Aug. 14.

Nature/Outdoor programs:


Bay Area Adventures (ages 10-13) will take kids on a hike through the Santa Cruz Redwoods ($45) on June 30 and to Point Reyes ($47) on July 14.
Tots Nature Exploration (ages 3-4) allows parents and kids to have adventures and discoveries in the natural world. $50.
Tadpole Camp (ages 4-6) will allow campers to learn about the plants and animals of Veterans Park . $132.
Sierra Rendezvous (ages 12-15) will take campers on a four night trip from July 26 to 30 to LARPD’s Camp Shelly at Lake Tahoe . $340.

Kids’ educational camps:


Preschool Spanish (ages 3-5) and Beginning Spanish Camp (kindergarten to 5th grades) will give kids experience with learning Spanish. $211-428.
Annie Song & Dance Review and Singin’ & Dancin’ Thru the Decades Review (ages 6-16) will have youth performing a musical review. $179.
Mad Science Summer Camps (ages 6-11) offer camps specializing in topics such as chemistry, outer space and more. $140-175.
TechKnowHow Camps (ages 6-14) include camps on game design and remote-controlled LEGO creations. $350-370.

Youth Sports camps:


Summer Youth Sports Camps (ages 5-11) offer youth a chance to learn a variety of sports and games that improve coordination and fitness. Weeklong camps run from June 14 to Aug. 16. $129-195.
Pee Wee & Peanut Sports Camp (ages 4-7) will introduce young children to T-ball, soccer, hockey and basketball. $89.
Football Training Camp (ages 8-12) will teach the fundamentals of basic and advanced football concepts. $80.
LARPD Youth Baseball Camp (ages 7-12) will take kids through drills and fun games to teach the skills of baseball. $45-129.
Livermore Youth Basketball (3rd to 8th grades) is a drop-in program Monday and Wednesday evenings. $3 drop-in fee.

Valley Rock Gym youth programs:


Rock Crawlers (ages 3-6) will get your little ones off the furniture and onto the rock climbing walls. Kids will develop balance, coordination, flexibility and self-confidence. $45.
Basic Rock Climbing (ages 3+) offers basic, intermediate and advanced classes. $59-85.
Youth Climbing Club (ages 7-17) allows climbers to gain skills, confidence, coordination and problem-solving as well as new friends. $165.
Home School Climb (ages 7-18) teaches technique, games, teamwork, body movement and belaying in the form of a physical education program. $72.
