Today as I opened my email I had ne from the Children's Health Council called Back-to-School Blues "How to take care of yourself" and I thought the email was fitting since we are hosting that exact training TODAY!
Some tips from CHC: (not taking away from our practice today at 3:00 pm, still come!)
- take time for yourself
- find a calm place for you to go to that is yours (let's be honest, hiding in the bathroom is not the most ideal safe place but sometimes it is the only one we have as parents... and sometimes not)
- incorporate a morning gratitude practice (I like this idea!) Jot down or tell someone 3 things you are grateful for.
- build self care into your morning routine (whatever you like to do and works for you). Walking, yoga, meditation (we will practice some tonight!), etc.
