I have two children in the district, one receiving special education services.
I serve on the CAC because I want to learn about the district's special education programs/services, be informed about changes in special ed. law and understand how these changes affect our children with special needs. I work with parents and district staff on issues/concerns specific to our district so we can be an effective CAC group in advising the district/board so all of our students with special needs will receive the highest quality education. I am also a Resource Parent supporting other parents in the District. Parent involvement is crucial and I have learned a lot from other parents. I believe in working collaboratively, as a team, with District staff and the Board Members to ensure every student receiving special education services will succeed in maximizing their potential and receive the highest quality education.
