Celebration of Success was a SUCCESS!

On October 19th at 6:30 in the evening the11th Annual Celebration of Success was held. Many administrators, staff, board members and Superintendent Steven Lawrence attended to recognize 44 Mt. Diablo Unified School District Special Education Students on their outstanding accomplishments. The evening program included a welcome from Superintendent Lawrence and Greetings from Board President Gary Eberhart and CAC Chair Lorrie Davis.

The evening was a time to celebrate the success of students, to leave feeling that all is obtainable; especially with the support of others around us. All of the students that received an award deserve their recognition and worked hard. Also, all of the guests present are a helping hand for each of the students receiving awards and have contributed to their success stories.

Last spring each school site was asked to identify one student at their site who shined above all others to receive this award. School staff worked together to decide which student in their program was the most deserving. I know it was a challenge to pick just one and so it is a pleasure to share the evening with these deserving students being honored.

Superintendent’s Council Members including Rose Lock and Greg Rolen who were present for the evening.
Every school staff, Principals and Teachers that worked together to nominate the students and helped send the information for the evening.
As well as those who helped these students on their path to success – parents, guardians, staff, etc.
