What: Catch a Special Thrill for Kids (C.A.S.T.) is coming to Lake Del Valle in Livermore
When: Saturday, June 25, 2011
Who: LOOKING FOR PARTICIPANTS, BOATERS, FIRST MATES, & VOLUNTEERS! Eligible participants are children with disabilities, ages 7-14.

An opportunity for children with disabilities to catch “the big one.”

C.A.S.T. is a memorable day of fishing on a boat pairing an expert angler with a child with a disability and one parent/guardian or ‘fishing buddy.’ Participant & family receive free entrance to the lake, games, family lunch, and plenty of fun.
Sponsors include:
Department of Water Resources, Cal Fire, Department of Fish & Game, Department of Parks and Recreation, Cal Boating, East Bay Regional Parks, and many local organizations and businesses.
A family barbecue lunch is served after the fishing trip. In addition to making new friends, each participating (qualified) child will receive a
• Plaque with a photograph of them on the boat
• FREE rod, reel, and tackle box to take home!
Limited Number of participant spots are available. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis, but priority will be given to 1st timers.
