Local accessble outting: Matteo's Dream
When we first went to Matteo's Dream, I got teary eyed. This was the first park we had ever been to where we could let our oldest daughter play independently with her younger sisters. The park is fully accessible, with ramps to upper levels, sensory play areas, and even adapted swings. There is a low wall around the entire structure to slow down kids who are mobile escape artists-- it won't hold them in but it does present a visual reminder to stay in. The picnic areas have pads around them for wheeled access. Hillcrest park has nice graded and groomed paths for walking and ball fields. You can read more about one of the only truly accessible parks in our area here.
